GRANDE PRAIRIE – After a temporary closure, Aquatera is excited to announce that the Sexsmith Bulk Water Station, located at 10009 Elevator Road, reopened March 28, 2022.
To protect the health and safety of customers, communities and employees, Aquatera Utilities Inc. temporarily closed the Sexsmith Bulk Water Station on December 23.
Cold weather events in the Grande Prairie region resulted in ice buildup on the concrete pads, creating hazardous safety conditions for customers, leading to the closure of the Station.
To ensure the continued health and safety of customers, communities and employees, Aquatera is assessing safety solutions to be implemented prior to the 2022/2023 winter season, including a heated pad.
Aquatera continues to operate three other bulk water stations:
- 13405 97 Street Grande Prairie, AB, east of Keddies, across the tracks, first turn to the left;
- 12109 97 Avenue Grande Prairie, AB, west of EMCO, or southwest of Peavey Mart;
- 711079 RR73 in Dimsdale.
