The City of Grande Prairie became an Aquatera Shareholder in 2003. Aquatera provides water, wastewater and solid waste services (garbage and recycling collection) to the City.

In May 2022, Aquatera obtained full operating custody of the City of Wetaskiwin’s Water and Wastewater Treatment Facilities for Peace Hills Utilities.

In July, 2021, Aquatera obtained full operating custody of the Municipality of Jasper’s wastewater treatment facilities. In addition to operating and maintaining the wastewater treatment facilities, Aquatera provides management and administrative support, procurement and human resources support, and oversees the Municipality's capital plan.

In September 2021, Aquatera obtained full operating custody of Silver Pointe Village’s Water Treatment Plant and Lagoon System, part of Parkbridge Lifestyle Communities. In addition to operating and maintaining the wastewater treatment facilities, Aquatera also provides administrative support.

Since 2018, Aquatera has been providing contracted services to the Town of Hinton, operating their water treatment facility. In 2020, Aquatera extended to service contract with the Town to 2023.

As of September 2023, Aquatera has been the provider of choice to lead internal operational assessments and action plans in the Town of Ponoka’s water and wastewater system. in addition, Aquatera has an ongoing assistance agreement in place for the Town’s business continuity needs. As of July 2022, Aquatera provided relief operations support to Teck Coal Limited through our operations in Grande Prairie.
